Great purchase
The size chart seems to be spot on- it may actually run a little large. Great price and quality. I'm warm and glad I made this purchase. I wear them around the house- nothing extreme.

Too lightweight for too much money.
We love merino wool and were excited to get these. But we were disappointed with how lightweight the "midweight" is, and haven't found heavyweight merino wool underwear anywhere. One pair developed holes on the top of the thigh, not exactly a high wear area. So it's a lot of money for some thin underoos. They don't itch, though!

Very comfy, soft, and warm...
I've worn this set of Minus 33 midweight top & bottoms about eight times when I go out to the cold, unheated shop to do automotive work. It's been as cold as 30F and as warm as 50F and I've always been comfortable temperature-wise. I wear these as a base layer, add jeans, a long sleeve shirt, pull-over, and an insulated flannel hoodie. What's remarkable is that I maintain a comfortable temperature when I move from the cold shop to the warm (75F) office. I recall when wearing cotton thermal underwear that I would sometimes get cold in the shop and get hot in the office. I even maintain a comfortable temperature around the house before leaving for the shop. The feel of the merino wool is fantastic. It's very soft and smooth, not regular wool-like at all. The wool is stretchy and doesn't bunch up. I always look forward to putting on the tops and bottoms because they're so comfortable. The wool is wearing well and not pilling. I have yet to wash these garments. The construction is also very good. The stitching looks first-rate and the seams are nice and flat. Merino wool garments can be pricy and I was hesitant to spend this much on the purchase, however, I was expecting excellent performance for the price. I feel that these Minus 33 top/bottoms do indeed have excellent performance and are a good value. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Best midweight underwear bottoms
I think a LG fits like a medium. I am a 5' 8" 142 pound male. Well made with triple stitching. Very durable and long lasting compared to other brands of merino wool underwear. Use daily in winter. Will buy more as needed.
